The Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate (Ei) is the authority that examines the gas grid operator's monopoly position in the natural gas market. We do this in order to ensure that you, as the customer, shall not pay too much and so that the gas grid operator does not exploit its monopoly position. The trade in gas is deregulated. It is, in other words, a free market.
